jeers: heat (1995)
this movie sucked. i had no idea what was going on the whole time. i had no idea who was who and who was on whose side and it took me til the very last scene to figure out that the guy who played scarface was meant to be a cop. whyd they make the cop look like a gangster. dogshit casting and direction. henry rollins was in it but for only one second. guy peirce had a beautiful ponytail but he never explained why. this is just an unfun and unfunny movie. not a single character laughs or smiles. this is what normal men think all movies should be. no wonder men are always missing the mark. how can they learn the softer emotions when this is all they can see on the screen? the men in this movie scowl so hardly and speak so harshly. the guns and planes are too loud, made me cover my ears. theres only one likeable character, a shaggy man called wainstop who looks and acts like floyd from the muppets. i loved to see him move his head like an ostrick whenever he walked. yet they couldnt just let me have a nice character. they had to make him a woman killer. the other men in this movie behave less violently but are still very disrespectful to their lovers and wives. whats more, they are all criminals!! they literally break the law!!!!! and its never even explained why. what are they robbing the bank for? to get money? whats the money for? we never learn, never even see them going shopping. the only time you ever see one of the criminals spend their ill earned money is when al pacino buys a cup of black coffee, the cheapest one. he could afford literally any milk or syrup, but he goes with black. yeah right. and how come we only see ever them drink coffee at night? don't they know about the cappuccino curfew? and then in one during a gun fight, a guy grabs a very little girl running past, and you think, oh good, hes protecting her. no! he uses her as a human shield! and when the other guy fires at the man anyway, narrowly missing the girl and killing the guy, we're meant to see him as a hero? killing is wrong. also, we never see the girl again after this scene. she has no lines or character development. the implicit message of the movie is "girls are just human shields". disgraceful. and the last scene, spoilers, i could not believe. the two main guys are chasing each other through an airport and firing .. guns! really? as if you could even do that, you'd be detained in five seconds flat. but none of the security guards in the airport try to stop them. also, why was it 4 hours long? not a single meaningful event happens for the entire duration. just four hours of hot air and shooting guns at window panes. they should replace the h in the title with an m: meat, a meat head movie full of rudeness and crimes.
